Sports medicine, and particularly, care of the female athlete as well as mental health in athletics.

Biography

Zoë Foster, MD, joined the Department of Family and Preventative Medicine at Prisma Health and the University of South Carolina in 2019 as the Program Director for the Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship. She currently sees patients at the University of South Carolina's Student Health Service, treating both students and student athletes in the Sports Medicine Department.

Additionally, Dr. Foster serves as Medical Director for the University of South Carolina Athletics Department. She is the team physician for the following varsity teams: volleyball, women’s soccer, cross country, women’s basketball, women’s tennis, women’s golf, and beach volleyball. 

Prior to moving to South Carolina, Foster was the team physician for the University of Michigan softball and field hockey teams as well as the men’s basketball team at Eastern Michigan University while working as a family medicine physician in southeast Michigan.
