Background

Yiming (Krystal) Qi received her bachelor's degree in hospitality management with a minor in event management from the University of South Carolina's College of Hospitality, Retail and Sport Management in May 2022. She later earned her Master of International Hospitality and Tourism Management from USC two years later. Qi is now the program manager for the Office of Organizational Development and Innovation.

In her previous role, Qi worked as a program coordinator with HRSM and as a guest care associate at Sree Hospitality. During her time at the College of HRSM, she served as an international program intern and later as an undergraduate assistant working with the director of recruitment. Qi represented the college by attending the world's largest lodging investment conference, Americas Lodging Investment Summit (ALIS), in 2022, 2023, and 2024.
