Background

Jasmine Carter is the program manager for organizational development and innovation in the College of Hospitality, Retail and Sport Management at the University of South Carolina. Joining the college in May 2025, she is primarily responsible for organizational development and innovation event planning, cross collaboration with various HRSM departments, and providing training and development opportunities for HRSM faculty and staff.

Before her current role, Carter served as the manager of faculty development for University 101 Programs, where she led training and support for UNIV 101 instructors and oversaw assessment for faculty development efforts. She also taught UNIV 101: The Student in the University and EDLP 520: The Teacher as Manager.

Carter holds a master’s degree in higher education and student affairs from the University of South Carolina and a bachelor’s degree in communication studies from Columbia College in Columbia, South Carolina. She is passionate about fostering collaborative, student-centered environments that promote innovation and continuous improvement in higher education.
