Learn about the college’s centers and our impact

The Center for Nursing Leadership (CNL) offers unique opportunities that enhance professional leadership development of nurses in South Carolina and surrounding states. Programs include the Amy V. Cockcroft Leadership Fellowship, the Viana McCown Lectureship, and the South Carolina Health Action Coalition in association with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Future of Nursing Campaign.

Advancing Chronic Care Outcomes through Research and Innovation (ACORN) Center advances chronic care science through research, development, and real-world application. Our vision is to optimize quality of life for those affected by chronic conditions. Participate in some stress-reducing activities while you learn about our center and view student research posters.

The center creates, expands, and disseminates knowledge addressing survivorship across the cancer continuum. Their vision is to conduct research that alleviates the impact of cancer in South Carolina, the nation, and the world.

The Perinatal, Pediatrics, & Family Research Center (PPFRC) conducts research to improve health outcomes of infants and their families before, during and after pregnancy and during childhood. Learn how our research promotes the health disparities related to pediatric care during pregnancy and postpartum using body temperature.
