Yuxin Jiang is a PhD student in the Linguistics program at the University of South Carolina. Her research interests encompass pragmatics, sociolinguistics, and discourse analysis, with a focus on language phenomena like humor, sarcasm, (im)politeness, power dynamics, and identity negotiation particularly within digital interpersonal interactions. She serves as the Teaching Assistant for CHIN 121 at USC during the 2024-2025 academic year. Before joining USC, she earned her MA from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences and her BA from Lanzhou University, China.
