About the Collection
The collection consists of black and white and color films, both sound and silent,
                                 comprising approximately thirty hours of footage dating from 1966 to 1976. The films
                                 document people, events, and the political and cultural history of South Carolina
                                 during the late 1960s and early 1970s. The footage includes materials related to local
                                 politics, the Civil Rights movement, student protests, school desegregation, and the
                                 Vietnam War.
