About the Program
As part of the Student Experience Program (SEP), each Honors student is assigned to a student experience coordinator, a professional staff member within the South Carolina Honors College. While your undergraduate academic advisor supports your major and degree requirements, your student experience coordinator focuses on your overall Honors experience and helps you think intentionally about your goals, interests and next steps.
Student Benefits
- Personalized support as you explore academic interests, research opportunities and future plans.
- Guidance in navigating Honors requirements and experiences, including senior thesis, study away and experiential learning.
- Connections to opportunities such as internships, leadership programs and campus involvement.
- Support beyond academics, including help navigating challenges and making informed decisions.
Rooted in a comprehensive approach to student growth, the SEP highlights the significance of connection, access and participation. Students achieve their best when they connect with the right people, have access to crucial information and engage in meaningful experiences.
The Student Experience Program provides a path for Honors students to receive the guidance and support they need to finish their degree, develop as leaders and prepare for life after graduation while making the most of everything the Honors College offers.
