Lancer Ambassadors

A Lancer Ambassador is a student chosen to represent USC Lancaster to prospective students and families during the admissions process. Students must plan to take courses in the Fall and Spring semester and have a minimum 2.5 GPA (high school or college) to qualify. Are you going to be a new freshman? We encourage you to apply if you meet the criteria! 

Students will complete a one-day training session to become a USC Lancaster Student Ambassador. Ambassadors must commit to working 30 hours a semester in the Office of Admissions from August to December and January to May (Included in these hours are the mandatory Fall and Spring Open Houses.)

  • Develop professional skills, including leadership, public speaking, and writing, 
  • Tone your marketing, social media, event planning, and public relations skills.
  • Make connections with new and continuing students that last a lifetime.
  • Networking opportunities with USCL Faculty and Staff
  • Join the conversation to influence services in the Office of Admissions.
  • Attend exciting events with the opportunity for some travel.
  • Earn volunteer hours.
  • Receive early advisement for Spring 2025.
  • Receive enhancement experience towards Graduation with Leadership Experience in Professional and Civic Engagement.
  1. Complete admissions application and been admitted for Fall term.
  2. Complete digital application. 
    1. Two References
Requirements:
  1. Must be available for the one-day training session TBD.
  2. Must register for new student orientation, attend, and register for Fall courses.
  3. Must schedule at minimum 30 working hours a semester.
    1. Must work Fall 2024 Open House and Spring 2025 Open House. Events included in the 30 hours.
  4. Must be registered in at least six credit hours per semester for the Fall and Spring.
  5. Must maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA.
