National Fellowships and Scholar Programs

Applicant Toolbox

Here you can find helpful resources as you research and apply for national fellowships.

National Fellowships Portal

The National Fellowships Portal is your one-stop shop for important forms. Current USC students can access the portal.

  • Candidate Profile: Your profile helps us get to know you so we can help you find and apply for opportunities that meet your backgrounds, goals and interests.
  • Press Release Forms: These forms allow us to release information related to your competition status. If applicable, you will find these forms in the portal.

Transcripts

Ordering transcripts is done via my.sc.edu. Please refer to the Registrar's Office page of instructions.

Note: Transcript requests are processed 2-3 business days after receipt. If you have a financial obligation to the university, a transcript will not be released.

Electronic transcripts cost $12 per copy, and we recommend having them sent directly to yourself (unless otherwise required by the fellowship). We are happy to help with formatting issues you might encounter when trying to upload to a fellowship application.

If you're providing a non-USC official transcript to us, be sure to order it directly from the institution, including transcripts from study abroad programs, well in advance of competition deadlines and sent directly or hand-delivered in a sealed envelope to:

For questions about transcripts required for a competition, contact us early in the process.

National Association of Fellowships Advisors (NAFA)

NAFA is a group of professionals who support students, institutions of higher education and awarding organizations who are involved in the pursuit and distribution of competitive scholarships and fellowships.

The University of South Carolina is a proud member of NAFA and subscribes to the core values of the NAFA Mission and Code of Ethics. We encourage applicants to review the Code of Ethics for expectations of both advisors and applicants.
